Warehouse 13’ continues to rule the ratings at Syfy!

"Warehouse 13" was renewed for a fourth season. The series will see another 13 episodes in 2012...

Aaron Ashmore joined the cast this past season.

Weekly, I write a recap of the show, so I was happy to interview several of the actors, including Saul Rubinek, Eddie McClintock and Joanne Kelly and the program’s showrunner Jack Kenny recently...

... EDDIE McCLINTOCK (Pete Lattimer)

M&C: How did your previous acting prepare you for ‘Warehouse 13?

Eddie M.: "I have to thank Hart (Hanson) and the people at ‘Bones’ because Sully was kind of my warm up for Pete. It was really the first time in my career that the business had allowed me to play the cop as opposed to the wacky guy next door. I could still be funny and charming and still be in a position of authority and responsibility. And I got the hot chick! After 14 years of 48 guest spots on 50-some different show and have someone go, “You’re the guy from ‘Warehouse 13!” I met Anna Nicole Smith!"

THE VAMPIRE DIARIES - COLLIDER: Ian Somerhalder Interview

by Christina Radish
September 4th, 2011

Returning for its third season on September 15th, The Vampire Diaries is the story of two vampire brothers, Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Damon (Ian Somerhalder), who are both obsessed with Elena Gilbert (Nina Dobrev). As Stefan sinks deeper into the dark side, Damon and Elena struggle with the guilt of their growing bond, even as they work together to bring Stefan back from the edge that Original vampire Klaus (Joseph Morgan) has brought him to.

During a recent interview, actor Ian Somerhalder talked about how his character Damon Salvatore will change this season, the push-pull between what Damon truly is and who everyone else wants him to be, the effects of the Season 2 finale kiss between Damon and Elena, Damon’s relationships with Bonnie (Katerina Graham) and Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen), and making sure that his character maintains his edge, even if he does end up an anti-hero...

Photobucket

... Question: With Stefan having departed, what role will Damon have in Season 3? How will he change?

SOMERHALDER: "Honestly, it’s a television show and these characters evolve. I would rather just remain the bad-ass dude that gets all the great lines and rips everybody’s heads off. That’s what I would prefer. I know it sounds a little sadistic, but it makes for a better character. But, I don’t think that’s the way life is. Kevin Williamson basically sat me down and said, “Just shut up and listen. Life is not one-dimensional. We change.” It’s that push-pull. He’s fighting against what he truly is, and that’s what makes the story dynamic. He is an anti-hero. He doesn’t know how to do all this stuff, so I think he’s going to have some trials and tribulations..."

TERRA NOVA - COLLIDER: Jason O’Mara Talks TERRA NOVA and ONE FOR THE MONEY

by Christina Radish
September 4th, 2011

The ambitious new sci-fi series Terra Nova (premiering on Fox on September 26th) is an epic family adventure 85 million years in the making. Following an ordinary family on an incredible journey back in time to prehistoric Earth, the Shannon family joins the Tenth Pilgrimage of settlers to the first colony established in this beautiful yet treacherous land. With the planet overdeveloped and overcrowded, and the majority of plant and animal life extinct, the future of mankind is in doubt, so Jim Shannon (Jason O’Mara) takes his wife and three kids in search of new opportunities and fresh beginnings. Once there, the Shannons come to suspect that not everyone on this mission has the same idea of how to best save mankind and, along with the very real danger of man-eating dinosaurs, they realize that there are forces intent on destroying this new world before it even begins.

During a recent interview to promote the Steven Spielberg-produced series, actor Jason O’Mara talked about this scary vision of the future, the challenges of working with so much green screen, how the show will answer many of the questions it poses, and how much fun he has doing action scenes. He also talked about his role opposite Katherine Heigl in One for the Money, due out in 2012...

Photobucket

... Q: Were you excited to get back into the time-travel business?

O’MARA: "Well, I called my family, saying, “Guess what? I got a new show. It’s about a cop who travels in time.” [Life on Mars] And they said, “I think we’ve seen that one.” I was aware of the similarities when I read the script, but the differences are so overwhelming that I can’t really compare the two. Even from a character point of view, Sam Tyler was lost and desperate to get back home, whereas Jim Shannon is hungry to get he and his family here and then take care of them. Sam Tyler’s challenges were internal, and Jim’s are external. His challenges are to do with getting on with the day-to-day in Terra Nova and trying to get past some of this wildlife. It can be a little tricky, from time to time, just trying to stay alive..."

TERRA NOVA premieres on FOX on September 26, 2011.
